Birth Control Counseling, Prescriptions, & Management

We offer a complete selection of prescription birth control, including: intrauterine devices or IUDs (Mirena®, Kyleena®, Skyla®, Paragard®), subdermal implants (Nexplanon®, Implanon™), intramuscular injections (Depo-Provera®), vaginal contraceptive rings (NuvaRing®, Annovera®), transdermal patches (Xulane®), & birth control pills (progestin-only or combination estrogen & progestin formulations).

Emergency Contraception

We provide emergency contraception solutions for preventing unwanted pregnancy in case of unprotected sex or contraception failure. There are two options for emergency contraception—oral pills that can be taken or an IUD. Both methods are not abortifacients, meaning, they will not disrupt an established pregnancy or cause an abortion. However, they can help to prevent pregnancy from occurring and are most effective when taken or inserted as soon as possible after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure.

Pregnancy Prevention Counseling

We provide extensive counseling and education on pregnancy prevention, which includes information on prescription birth control, abstinence, and barrier birth control methods. We can discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each type of birth control so you can determine the best choice for your reproductive goals.

Prenatal Genetic Testing

We offer prenatal genetic testing as part of a comprehensive pre-pregnancy planning evaluation. Testing for common hereditary disorders, such as Cystic Fibrosis, Fragile X, and Spinal Muscular Atrophy, as well as other genetic abnormalities based on your medical and family histories are offered. After careful review of you and your partner’s health histories, a physical exam, and consideration of your reproductive goals, we will develop a plan that is tailored specifically for you to achieve a healthy pregnancy with the best outcomes for both mom and baby.

Infertility Counseling & Care

Infertility, which is defined as the difficulty or inability to conceive despite regular unprotected sex, can be a source of sadness and disappointment for some women. There is hope, however. While the causes for infertility can be numerous and occasionally unclear, it can be successfully overcome with timely diagnosis, counseling, and intervention if necessary.

Treatment of Ectopic Pregnancy

This occurs when a fertilized egg implants outside the lining of the uterus or endometrium. This is a serious, potentially life-threatening condition that requires early intervention with either medication or surgical intervention. After diagnosis, we will develop a treatment plan that best suits your individual circumstances and preferences.
