Urinary Incontinence

Comprehensive women's health care by a BOARD-CERTIFIED OB/GYN

Urinary Incontinence Diagnosis & Treatment

We diagnose and treat all forms of urinary incontinence, which includes stress (SUI) – the leaking of urine caused by actions like sneezing, coughing, jumping, and laughing; urge incontinence (UUI) caused by an overactive bladder, and mixed incontinence (MUI) which is leakage of urine from a combination of SUI and MUI. Depending on the cause of the incontinence, it is treated with counseling, physical therapy, medication, surgery, or a combination of modalities.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) Comprehensive Care

A condition that occurs when there is weakening of the pelvic floor muscles from physical stress (repetitive heavy lifting or prolonged standing), pregnancy, age, or injury. In POP, one or more of the pelvic organs (vagina, uterus, bladder, or rectum) may “fall” or “drop” from its original anatomical location. We provide diagnosis and treatment for all types of prolapse, including cystoceles (“falling bladder”), rectoceles (where the rectum protrudes into the vagina, sometimes causing constipation or incomplete emptying after bowel movements), and uterine prolapse (usually felt as a bulge or sometimes mistaken as a vaginal mass).
